Tradition and Fun!

Aneesha & Harrison’s September 21st wedding at Rancho Soquel brought together family and friends for a fun and colorful celebration!

The bride’s family looked amazing in traditional Saris that added wonderful pops of color to the day and touched on her Indian heritage.

The menu also reflected their heritage with the Festive Indian Appetizer Station along with a Greek Appetizer Station…passed herb crusted lamb lolipops, A prawns Rava Fry and Sweet Potato and Pea Samosas were some of the highlights. A Central coast Buffet with grilled Tri-tip and Lemon Rosemary Chicken, Castroville Vegetable platter and Ratini Primavera followed. Needless to say, no one went hungry…one of the more interesting and delicious menus of the season

Along with a guest book, the newlyweds asked their guests to write down a memory they had together and their best wishes for the couple. As a favor, a blend of Indian and Greek spices were given out for their guests to take home and enjoy.

The bride’s 4th grade class offered marital advice to the newlyweds which was hung in the grape arbor.

The day was filled with love and laughter and we wish nothing but a lifetime of that for these sweet newlyweds!

The Couple that Sings Together...

Julia & Mauricio’s September 15th wedding was the perfect mix of traditional and out of the box. The fun began the minute the party bus dropped everyone off at the venue and didn’t end till it picked them back up for the after party.

The couple’s dog served as ring bearer (and looked adorable in his little tux) and the groom’s heritage was represented by the Peruvian band that played during cocktail hour. The ring bearers looked handsome in their traditional outfits while the flower girls looked beautiful in their white dresses.

The newlyweds choose a cool way to display their seating assignment cards. They purchased post cards from around Santa Cruz County and placed everyones names and tables on the back. It made for a fun and color display in the grape arbor!

The bride and groom made a gorgeous pair! The bride especially looked stunning in her simple but beautiful gown.

The most talked about part of the night was when the bride and groom serenaded their guests with a song they had specially written for the event. It was a really wonderful and touching moment and great fun for the guests!

Picture Perfect!

The weather on Saturday, Sept. 8th was about as perfect as you could get. Sunny with a brilliant blue sky but not too hot. Rancho Soquel looked gorgeous and the arch that the groom’s Dad built fit right in so well that we wanted to keep it. But no, it will go to the couple’s new back yard.

We had the addition of those fabulous crossback chairs and farm tables from Viewpoint Events to add to the setting…gorgeous!

As if the setting weren’t enough, Jenna and her parents looked stunning and extremely happy with their day!

A ladder of succulents were the guest’s favors and a special touch was an engraved Nuernberg Toasting Cup, gifted to the bride and groom. Gorgeous Day, lovely party!

Miss Miller gets Married!

The children in Lauren Miller's 3rd grade classroom weren't at the wedding on Saturday but their letters of advice to the bride and groom were, right along side the guestbook. "Be nice to each other" "Don't be Grumpy" were examples of the words of wisdom but hardly necessary for this sweet couple.

The bridal party looked fantastic in the navy suits and blush "dress of their choice". Of course the flower girls stole the show

Lovely table decor designed by the mother of the bride and a delicious Fall inspired meal from Feast for a King catering

Lots of dancing and a delicious dessert buffet of Banana Bread Pudding and Ice Creme wrapped up the evening. Of course a sweet cutting cake...who doesn't want that garter?

Ami and Jackie Say I Do!

Ami and Jackie's wedding was a total extravaganza from start to finish. The details were carefully thought out and personalized by the couple....from the Cuban Rum and Cigar Bar to the Jello Shot seating assignments, fun was the order of the day.

Viewpoint events provided the furnishings that made it fun and elegant at the same time.

The cake was made by Edith Meyer who also made all the delicious bite sized desserts and the Mojito and Cosmo Jello shots.

Food from Feel Good Foodswas not only beautiful but delicious and the service staff kept the whole event flowing.

Specialty cocktails were mixed by the Pour Girls

Nick Hadley, DJ, played Cuban while the Rum bar was open and then switched to dance and had the floor packed by evening's end.
