A June Bloom Wedding!

Jessica and Marcus' June 23rd wedding at Rancho Soquel was a laid back, fun affair filled with good food, good drinks and lots of laughter!

The bride looked stunning in her gown and the couple was surrounded by their adorable flowers girls and ring bearer!

Feast for a King provided the catering for the wedding and everyone raved about their tri tip and yummy apps! The Buttery created the beautiful three tiered cake that was half red velvet and half chocolate. The couple also gifted their guests some of their favorite hot sauce as favors!

The gorgeous linens were from La Tavola and looked amazing against the barn backdrop while The Booth Bus kept everyone laughed with their unique photo booth bus!

It was such a lovely, fun-filled day and we wish this awesome couple a lifetime of happiness!

Romance and crazy weather in Santa Fe, New Mexico

June 16 in Santa Fe came with every kind of weather imaginable. Luckily, we had reserved a tent but the rain ceased and the clouds parted exactly in time for the 5:00 ceremony. More weather was in store that day but not until we were safely inside the tent.

Ben and Angela took their formals and had their first look prior to the ceremony in the beautiful lobby of the Club at Las Campinas. Having 12 nieces and nephews in the ceremony took patience but it was worth it to see how much they all enjoyed their roles.

Since they had been dating for 5 years, everyone in the family made the trip to this destination spot to watch them exchange vows. Watching the Royal wedding inspired Angela's Mom to ask the guests to wear "facinators" which turned out to be fun for everyone.

Angela's brothers wore their "dress whites" to escort her down the aisle and hand her off to her Dad who completed the walk to the alter with two veil holders following behind.

Once inside the tent a delicious meal followed by toasting, cake cutting and much festive dancing. The photographers caught some shots right before the rainfall and every single child stayed up dancing to the very end!  They are sure to remember this for a very long time.!

A Little Rain Didn't Stop the Party!

Courtney & Nick's wedding day was filled with love, laughter and a little bit of rain! Despite the drizzle, their day went off without a hitch and everyone had a fantastic time!

The bride looked absolutely stunning in her dress and the newlyweds celebrated tying the knot by cracking a couple cold beers at the alter after the ceremony!

The flower girls and ring bearer stole the show and some hearts with their cute signs as they walked down the aisle!

River House looked stunning and provided the perfect backdrop to the day. Buttercup Cakes provided some sweet treats for the guests with their yummy cupcakes!

A Cowboy Kind of Day!

So here's a couple who met at a shooting range, didn't hit it off at first but through the grooms perseverance, they end up getting married on Saturday! It would be fitting that the guests at your wedding would be requested to wear cowboy boots and the groomsmen's boutonnieres would be in empty shotgun shell casings with cuff links to match!

And what at group of playful guys it was! From posing with their jeans down to bustling up the bride, they participated fully in the day

Ring security was tight and the "boys dressed in black" (ushers and ringbearers) all took their jobs seriously but were not to be outdone by the flower girl

Decor was embellished with branded boxes from the father of the brides ranch, now closed. The brides chair was decorated by the father of the groom (nice job) and the floral and much of the decor handled by the trusted core group of friends of the bride's Mom. Their home has been a "crafting studio" for months leading up to the wedding.

The couple drove away in the bride's vintage car at the end of the night. A beautifully fun day for this fantastic pair!

Finally! Summer is here at Rancho Soquel

After a very cool Spring we finally got some heat for those hydrangeas to begin to open up at Rancho Soquel! Saturday's wedding was the first real warm event for this year and the sweetest couple got married that day. Christine and Colin's wedding was gorgeous in every last detail. The farm tables, the crossback chairs and all the wooden pallet signage were only a few of the extraordinary details that they selected. The giant heart made of baby's breath on the barn was also a nice touch.

Of course, it doesn't hurt when the bride is a beauty!  Escorted down the aisle by her Dad in his dress uniform, she choose to wear her hair down and it was gorgeous. Bridesmaids all dressed in their own choice of off white short dresses and the little flower girls looked like angels!

A candy bar was super popular and the cake was another Gayle's Bakery creation of the lightest orange chiffon. Delicious!

When it came to the party part, everyone joined in the fun and their glow stick send-off was a great hit. I'm sure the photographer captured it better than we did but you get the idea.
