Titus & Athena- a love story

What are the odds that two people with Greek God names would meet and marry? Pretty slim but that’s exactly what happened on Sept. 21 at the beautiful 1800 El Pomar barn in Templeton. It’s a brand new setting and amazingly gorgeous with it’s view of the vineyards and the sunset was incredible exactly at the dinner hour.

The barn was decorated with lovely sitting areas, the cake display which was most unusual and magnificent as well as a whisky bar that was made by a relative for the couple.

Titus’ Mom did all the arranging and put extra loving care into each aspect of the decor. From unique tables capes on each table using items of historical value, such as the kerosene lamps from Titus’ Grandmas ranch to piano sheet music that also came from Grandma and crystals from her collection.

Since Athena is a baker, she baked her own cake and what a unique one it was. The color theme was centered around the couple’s favorite sports team- the Sharks so turquoise and black were everywhere, including the bridesmaids..

The DJ Nick Steele kept the dance floor full following the first dance which the couple showed off their line dancing moves, a touching mother-son dance to a recording of Somewhere over the Rainbow played and sang by Titus Grandma Vivi and another tear jerker, Athena playing a song on guitar dedicated to her Dad who passed away during the planning. Not a dry eye in the house! What a gorgeous beginning for a beautiful couple.
